“We’re thrilled to be back in Flower,” I tell Kate’s mom.

“We were waiting and waiting to come back, too,” Bella adds.

At that moment, a bell rings from inside the house.

“I’m making your father’s favourite dessert,” Kate’s mom says. “I’m not sure what you have planned for today, but do you have time to get me four bananas?”

“Of course, Mom. We’d be happy to,” Kate says.

Bella rubs her tummy. “Mmm, I just looooove bananas.”

“Well then, let’s go!” Kate exclaims, swimming back the way we just came.

After a few minutes, Kate suddenly stops and puts her arms out to stop Bella and me. A school of small fish zoom past us.

A purple fish, with red stripes, yells out, “Hi, Kate. Where’s Maria?”
